Today's project

I have a nice spring on my place and thought I could accomplish two things, make a better crossing near the creek and put in 6" pvc pipe that goes down to a sloped Y. We put a knock out plug on the Y so I can drain if necessary. About 30 ft. pipe total. My neighbor/friend is an excavator. I haven't finished, two tandem loads dirt and I need two more. I'll put rip rap across creek when finished.
At one point neighbor took off running like crazy. We found a ground hornet nest.

Can you explain more what the PVC is for?? Are you creating a dam to build a pond and using the PVC as the drain?

Here's a simple drawing. Spring water flowed through pipe while we worked. Finished, we drove a plug in back. Now spring water has formed a nice pond and water goes out overflow.
I could pump out of it or horses can drink from it or the creek. I told neighbor we were putting in a still. He requested peach.
