Good lord, eight feet - that's enormous. I'd love to know what machine that's on.
One thing to bear in mind with the Implemax, and probably the Beaver Squeezer as well, is that they give you the option of picking the log right up off the ground, versus skidding it. Now that I stop to think about it, I don't think I have ever skidded a log even once since we do almost all of our work on peoples' lawns. Here's a pic that shows how the log gets tucked under the "heeling area" of the grapple, allowing the arms to pick it right up off the ground.
