TN75da brake issue

/ TN75da brake issue #11
It has been a long time since I posted about the brake saga. I have been using one Friday Parts master cylinder along with one OEM master cylinder without the crossover pipe for months now with no issues. I suspect (but have not proven) the crossover pipe messes with the Friday Parts master cylinder. I honestly have no intentions of messing with the current setup unless I have another problem down the road. The brakes work great and I adjusted the push rod going into the master cylinder to approximately balance the two master cylinders. I have not noticed any side effects of removing the crossover pipe (yet).

I went through four Friday Parts master cylinders (total) to get the system working, but I might have had better luck if I had left the crossover pipe off to begin with. Just make sure you have plenty of the mineral oil brake fluid if you start messing with these brakes--I used WAY more than I ever thought possible.

Well, a sad update on the Friday Parts master cylinder saga. The new master cylinder that I installed in 2023 has failed in the exact same way the other three did (it sinks to the bottom of the travel). The one remaining OEM master cylinder is working great. Why, oh, why did I put the Friday Parts one on the inside???? Come spring, I guess I will shell out the $500 for a new OEM master cylinder and do yet another swap.

Long and short of it, don't bother with the FridayParts master cylinders unless your time is worth nothing. I wish I had spent the $500 to get a new OEM part the first time around.
