I have the R4s and am very happy. I do use chains on the ice but haven't been able to get it stuck yet. I only have 45 hours since March 6th. I seem to have a slight leak which i cannot find in the front left. Noticed it with a full load of stone in the bucket.

1*My question is what tires should I get as Kubota offers 3 treads. The "turf" tire is out so it's between the "bar" tread and the "industrial" tread.
2* I'm afraid the "bar" tread will tear the ground up too muchi
but
3*fear the "industrial" tread will spin.

1*Bar = the only to fly!
2*I think that is a blown out of proportion fear and don't believe it even applies to the small compacts and sub compacts except in rare or unusual circumstances.
It may come into play on utility and larger tractors, however.
I have a BX23 with the AG tires and have driven it 970 hours all over my 2.33 acres. I have never had the FEL MMM or BH off it.
There has been no yard damage or other problems from the tires.
3* Industrials are not self cleaning like the Bar tires are so they fill up with mud and turn into racing slicks offering little or no traction in that situation.
Another bad deal is Turfs on the front of a 4 x4 tractor.
Get on a soft spot and they will spin and really rut up the ground even when the rear tires are on solid ground with plenty of traction and not spinning.
I got into that yesterday.

I think the Ag tires are too aggressive if you will use the tractor on a lawn.

My tractor guy explained that the ag tires will give you grooves after a few mows following the same route (like the edges on the property). My neighbor he is a HE operator and told me the same thing.

970 hours driving 0n my 2.33 acres with my BX23 with AGs.
Never had the MMM FEL or BH off the tractor.
How many hundreds more hours before i start seeing signs of the groves?
