considering sub compact unit, worried about the tires getting punctured when I start cleaning up two debris piles left over from an old farm. No I can't afford a dozer. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Gemplers has a "slime" type product available in 1 and 5 gallon sizes--I've got it in my tires, along with several screws and nails--works great.

If this is bigger piles with lots of debris?? It may be pretty big for that sub-compact? Not sure how big of piles but maybe for the larger projects maybe renting a dozer would be good. Not buying one but renting. Just a thought. Once you have the big mess cleaned up then take your new little sub-compact to finish up and keep you new sub-compact New.

After my first flat due to glass I had the front tires on my B2910 Kubota foam filled...no more problems...

I did not foam fill the rears. I decided to wait and see if I would get a puncture or not. The rears are only 4 ply R4s, but they did not puncture, so I liquid filled them.

The fronts on mine punctured so easily I decided I wanted a sure fix. It cost me something like $140 including the sales tax to have them filled. I am glad I did.

My last tractors tires had slime in the tires and I never got another flat after I added it. Before that it was one thorn after another. Hard to believe those things are tough enough to penetrate a tire.

Anyway on my TC-40D I now use Multi Seal in all the tires. Check out a picture of the tire at their web site with all the screwdrivers sticking in the tire. It's a pretty good indication of how this sealant actually works. click here

Does Slime work in tubed tires?

PineRidge,

Interesting stuff. I see they even make a product that will work with liquid filled tires, calcium cloride or other antifreeze included, and not just water. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Pineridge,

About how much is it to do a tractor tire?
