Tire sizing for L5030HST

I have R-4's on the rig now. (17.5-24 & 10-16.5 front) I want to go to R-1's mainly for increased clearance (I want a taller tire) It lists the 14.9x26 & 13.6x28 as the R-1 options. Is that the tallest tire I can put on it? Anyone tried to put taller tires on? I'm not worried about putting chains on so the clearance issue on the fenders is minimal, maybe even raise the fenders a bit. I would like at least 2" in clearance which would mean 4" taller tires, but will take whatever would fit.

Here's another twist: Any R-1's made for the rims I already have? I bet not and of course I need to size match the fronts since it is 4wd.

After looking for hours, is there any place on the net that has the specs for these tires? R-4's & R-1's

From what I've seen on TBN, you can get the tire/wheel combination for about the same price as the tire alone. Plus, it is already mounted that way.

My M7040 has 9.5-24 front and 16.9-30 rear. It is plenty tall. Not sure if all of the Mxx40 series can interchange tires.

There is also a "low-profile" R1 tire made for the M series. You wouldn't want those.

The R1s have a different profile and raise the tractor over the same size in R4s from what I've seen.

I personnally would not go any taller than 28" on a L 5030,will make it feel tippy, this is still a CUT after all . Compare it to a M5040...similar HP but much wider and longer not to mention heavier.

Like GW DIXON mentionned, you will gain more than the rim size differential in clearance since R1 are a taller profile.
