Thought I'd pass this on. I was going to dig some post holes, so I removed the MMM and found the gear box was wet with oil, I found that one of the hoses that run from the Hydro unit up to the steering under the dash had sprung a leak. I found the one that was leakin and took the floor board up to get it off. The dealer made me a new hose and suggested that I replace the other hose also, since they run side by side under the floor. He said the original hoses are crap and the other one will leak shortly. I thought I'd pass this on since the dealer possibly saved me a lot of time if the other one let go.
The job wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, the hardest part was getting to the fittings under the dash.
Another note, I don't know if I'm just allergic to it or not but the TSC Premium hydro fluid sure did make my arms and hands itch wherever it contacted my skin, had to wash a couple of times to get it all off. Will post a step by step instructions in repair section.

I find this comment by the dealer to be very interesting. I checked the hoses on my tractor and they are all manufactured with materials by Parker. I had a hose made for my BX rear remote done at a local hydraulic hose company and they also use the identical hose. This shop is known for their expertise and quality. If you had a Parker hose go bad, then I believe that it was possibly a defect in the manufactured hose, and an isolated event. I have not heard of any BX tractor having hose problems so early in life. Most hoses will go 10 years without needing to be replaced, unless they rub against a frame member and this is the cause of the problem. If the hose just sprung a pin hole leak, then I would send the hose directly to Kubota in California (Corporate Headquarter) and they will determine if it was a manufacturing defect. If it is a manufacturing defect, they would probably refund your cost for the part. I believe that they want to know about these problems when they occur. You don't mention the age of the tractor, so I have no idea if this was a warranty repair or not..

The hoses on my tractor were made by Dayco, also had one of the short hoses that connects to the loader valve started leaking, it was also Dayco. The tractor is three and a half years old so it wasn't covered by warranty.
