Permanent DST was tried in the 70s and it only took one winter for the people not to like it.
Yes, it makes quite a difference during the winter the more north you are as far as daylight hours.I remember going to school in the dark in California. No one liked it. It must have really been bad for people up north.
I would vote for a 7:00 AM. sunrise every day of the year.Doesn't matter to me either way. I just wish they'd set it and forget it.
