tiltmeter meeting

Hi Guys,
I finally have a meeting set up with that major tractor
manufacturer on 10-23-00. They want to see the tiltmeters
and hear my sales pitch. Any comments you guys want to
pass along ? Advantages or dis-advantages to having them
installed at factory ? I don't know how serious they are
about them, but they agreed to the meeting. I will pass
along ALL comments about the need or no need for the
tiltmeters. No guarantee they will buy, and if they do, if
they buy from me. All comments will be welcome.

Rick - One thing I'd like to suggest: Tell them about this site and the customer reaction recorded here. If that doesn't convince them, what could?

Rick, I agree with Mark. They can read the comments here, and having the tiltmeters as standard equipment on their tractors (or at the very least an option) would just be one more safety feature just as the ROPS and seat belts are now.

I guess it goes without saying (as if anything ever did where I'm concerned) that if we hadn't wanted that extra margin of safety, we wouldn't have bought these tiltmeters, and therefore, if they had been available from the manufacturer, we would have gotten them with the tractor to start with.

Rick, I think one of the best things you've got going for you in this case is that a whole lot of us have put down our hard earned money for a tiltmeter for our tractors. If we see the value and are willing to spend the money, I think the consumer has spoken.

Hi Rick,

I don't have a tractor yet but I'm getting very, very, very close to being an owner.

On of the first things I'm buying will be two tiltmeters. I'm very concerned about safety and I have a few slopes to deal with. I would like to see YOUR tiltmeters integrated into the dash for fore/aft tilt and somewhere else to give me side tilt. As we say in the computer biz, this a human factor issue and it would better if the tiltmeters were integrated into the tractor.

I hope the tractor company buys your tiltmeters and installs them on their products. Just make sure you have this all copywrited/patented before seeing them otherwise they may "borrow" your idea..

Hi Guys. Rick here. Getting so excited about upcoming
meeting with the major o.e.m. I had to tell someone !!!
Can't even sleep at night. Meeting is for 11:00 monday.
I have printed two copies of many subjects on this site,
and will leave them with o.e.m. along with encouragement
that they pull site up for more, and to hopefully make it a
regular thing to view. I am also meeting with a major truck
mfg. while in the state. I hope to learn more names of
more o.e.m. engineers while there regarding tractors. I have
tried to think of everything they could possibly ask, and
I feel I'm as ready as I'll ever be. I do not expect to come
back with large orders in hand. They don't deal that way.
I do expect or at least hope future orders will come from
all of this. Just had to tell someone. Thanks for listening.

Rick, just a thought, have you attempted to meet with various state agencies, i.e. Highway maintenance departments etc? May be a way to make more inroads to O.E.M.s.
