I bought an Interstate 16 x 7 tilting trailer to haul my JD 3720 without exceeding my new truck lower towing rating. Picked it up and parked it a year ago. Haven't used it until....

I went to use it this weekend and found a problem. I have to believe the rear pin didn't have clips on both sides as the pin had fallen out and ground most of the mount eyes off even grinding into the cylinder and the hose elbow. For extra fun, when I backed it into the parking spot it hung up and bent the front mount.

This is annoying as I've literally never hauled anything on it; just took possession and parked it. I suppose I can get a replacement cylinder and pins with both clips and locally have the front mount repaired. How essential it the "snubber"?

Been there, done that. Pin dropped on a dirt road, trailer pole vaulted a bit, busted lines, pretzled the rod. Mine is a power tilt though.

I'd imagine things are going to slam pretty hard without the dampener.
