Does anyone know how a bx 2660 will handle a 50" tiller? I have a land pride rtr1550 close by that a guy will sell me for 1500 it's been used once for less than an hour. It still has paint on most of the tines. Is his a good price? I think the new ones are over two thousand?

RTR means reverse tiller, I think. Reverse tillers tend to kick up rocks, as opposed to burying them and get the operator very dirty.

I had a new country line 48 inch tiller on my BX2200 a couple years ago. It had no problems running that. I did not have any ballast weight on the front so it didn't steer very well when trying to make sharp turns on any type of incline. To drive around on flat ground was fine. But if I had to do it again, I'd be sure to have ballast weight just for ease of use. If your garden is on any type of sloping hill, definitely need some front weights or loader.

I'd say that the BX2660 would handle that Landpride 50 inch okay, even though it is just a tad too big. But the price is really good. I'd go for it. I think that going slower with it would compensate if you found that it bogged down, which I doubt that it would in most cases....depending on the type of ground. Cheers, Mike
