I have been quoted $2495. on a Land Pride RTA 2562 with 6 blades or $2315. on a RTA 2064 with slip clutch and 6 blades. Is a good price? I just bougth a JD 4310 with bh, fel with 4 n 1 and I just want to make sure they are cutting me a good deal.

From what I have seen you can get a Woods, Befco, or Bush Hog Brand Tiller for under 2,000.00. I know that Land Pride is a good brand also but I believe you can do better than 2495.00 on a tiller. I would look around at something else unless you are set on that brand. Maybe shop it out some more and see if you get a better deal on that landpride. You can definitly do better than 2495.00

Yup, $2500 is pretty steep for a tiller. You should be able to find one for under $2K, I'd think. But if you do pay that much $$$ then make sure they come out and install it for you /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif.

A CCM 185-66" Gear Drive Tiller is $1,100 with a 60 HP Gearbox rating & with slip clutch and 6 blades per flange. We have a Distributor in Springfield, MO Hood & Co. 1-800-725-9800

The 49" will offset a few inches but it works best straight on. We do have a true side shift tiller in the MR Series. We usually stock them only if a dealer or distributor orders some.

Here is one example of a Land Pride 58" price. Not the same model you listed; probably LP series with less features/bulk.

For what it's worth, I stopped at TSC today and inquired about a 60" King Kutter II tiller and it was $999.00. I don't know how they compare. If I'm not mistaken, John Miller III has spoken well of the KK tillers here in the past.

Good luck with whatever you decide. I hope this helps. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I have had the KK II tiller for a few years now.
It has been trouble free and tills great.

JMAC: I looked at a King Kutter II a couple weeks ago. $1199 for a 72", slip clutch, 54 tines & geared (not chain) drive. Looked pretty solid and "looked" like the medium duty Woods tillers (don't know if they are made by the same people or not). This price is in line with Gary_in_Indiana's - $999 for a smaller one.
