I have to start posting to threads of interest just so they are in my watch list.

Injecting grease into the rubber seal coats the outside of the joint with grease but does not flush out and replace grease on the wear parts.

And if the stud flops around when disassembled just use heavier grease next time.

(Of course, on a racing tractor I'd replace the part and bill it to my sponsor ...)
