Backhoe Thumb on backhoe

I was thinking about putting a Hydraulic thumb on my kb2376 backhoe. What I'm wondering, is there enough space for the thumb to be pulled all the way back out of the way to do digging, or does it just get in the way?

My thumb folds back against the boom when not in use, not in the way at all. Second picyure of folded thumd is one from the kubote qwner who gave me the plans for the thumb. Mine has not been folded since install, always in use.

Our thumbs, hydraulic and manual, store against the dipper-stick. There are some pictures with pricing on our website.

I am in the process of looking for a thumb for my new DK55C w/ 2485 backhoe on it. will the BT85-SH fit that? Also does the HTK-85 come with a foot peddel or a hand operated device to mount? My tractor doesnt come in until week after next and was wanting to get this ordered so both might show up at the same time... it softens the impact on the wife who looks at the CC statement.:thumbsup:
