If you are looking for something to dig out the ground for the curbing, like was suggested a single "bottom plow" like farmers plow and turn over there field could work, or maybe a "potato plow" kinda like a wide sub-soiler ...

My suggestion would be to not have the concrete any more than an inch higher than the ground, less is better ...

I used my loader bucket for a little ditch ...

Then drove my tires up it to even it out ...

The next year, I re-did it with the backhoe ... Even had a "inspector" go down and check it out!

Always good to get a cat scan of your finished work.

I get a lot of lab inspections... LOL

I've used single shank subsoiler to loosen dirt for manual removal with a shovel. Getting a nice straight and narrow line was tough. It was straight enough to bury 4" PVC but I guess it would be too sloppy for your application.

Something with a cross section you describe doesn't sound like it would hold up very long here where we get freezing and thawing. Have you calculated the concrete? An 80# bag of concrete has about 0.6CF and with a 4" wide x 4" tall curb would do less than 6" of length.
I think you missed something.....

4" x 4" = 0.11 sft

0.6 cft ÷ 0.11 sft = 5.5' long.

I think op said 80' total, so it would be about 16 bags, accounting for waste.

IN MY AREA THERE WAS A COMPANY THAT MADE THINGS OUT OF OLD TIRES. CHOCKS AN SUCH, AND HAD SOMETHING LIKE WHAT YOUR MAKING. I HAVEN'Y SEEN THEM IN A LONG TIME. I THOUGHT ABOUT DOING THE SAME THING WITH MY DRIVE, BUT I HAVE 200 FT OF DRIVEWAY AND IT THE TIME I COULD NOT AFFORD IT, BESIDES I WAS MARRIED THEN.

In the 80s here in Holland every farmer had a rear bucket. Nowadays only hobby farmers, as dairies all have loaders, either small articulated, or full size construction loaders.

This is a recent model bucket, back in the day of the Fergie, they werent that big, and not built for digging.

Here a modern one for a compact tractor, hydraulic tipping:

With 80hp and sufficient lift force you can dig pretty good with it:

Ive buried easter fire ash heaps with them, in a hole so deep that you couldnt see the tractor cab. You can generally load twice as much in a rear bucket than in a front loader bucket because youre pushing the big wheels firmly on the ground, instead of the small front wheels.

It is also efficient as a scraper, half carrying, half pushing another load in front of it, because the weight of the load aids traction.
