I have gone from hating the 3pt hitch to a mild dislike. Fortunately, I did not invest in any of the Quick hitch options. I used $8 Harbor Freight dollies (two per attachment) and did not have to deal with mounting the QH, or having more stuff in the way to connect the PTO, or modifying some of my older attachments that were not QH compatible, or lengthening any PTO shafts
I have 4 attachments and a ballast box/carry all and it cost me under $100 as I had the wood....used mostly scrap 2x4ç—´.
The downside is that using dollies requires a a cement floor or pad, I need to get off the tractor when switching from blade, rake or ballast box. No big difference when using PTOç—´. It takes a bit longer than a QH. The upside, is that I can more effectively utilize the space in my storage area and can easily move my implements around as needed. No QH will allow that unless on dollies dollies anyway.
As others have pointed out, any new system is going to be rowing against the current. To be commercially successful, it will need to offer significant advantages over what is currently 都tandard? I do not see that with this concept.
BTW, purchased one of your Viper 4500 winches from you guys a few years back. You have a good company so tread carefully on taking this on. Strongly suggest getting a dozen beta units fabbed up and finding local users to test and evaluate them using their current 3pt attachments with the conversion unit you will need. Make sure they work them hard. Use 40 hp or larger tractors.
Again, good luck Peter!
