Hello,

I was wondering what the larger size fasteners are on a tractor. As in where are they located. I知 buying tools and would like an idea of what sizes I will come across and where they are found on any given piece of equipment.

Thank you!

Go to HF and get a set of large combo (box-open end) extra large wrenches. Also pick up a ¾" impact gun (their store brand is cheap and works just fine) and a set of Large Metric Deep impact sockets.....metric because for common sizes, metrics are just slightly larger than SAE and will fit both.

For regular work get a ½" impact with suitable deep impact sockets for that.

The impacts will run $50-70, big sockets $70, large wrenches $70, small sockets $40, and small combos all over the place from cheap to moderately priced.

My best tool for farm equipment (especially new tractors) where the factory has torqued every bolt (and oil filter) to the max are the impact wrenches. Work great when it's time to rotate the tires on my truck too.

Thank you for the reply. I’ll swing by harbor Freight next time I get near one.
