Threaded dipstick

The old honda 185 three wheelers you didn't screw the dipstick in.

from what I find online the B & S you screw in.

also, I read online some engines are designed as such that if the engine is cold you screw in, if hot you don't... that make sense to me...

Think you mean B&S, not B&H and my old long gone Honda Foreman quad, you didn't screw in the dipstick to check either.
