If that's all your going to use it for consider:Please more comments. I'm only looking at this this for occasional use at best. Getting out of 'stuck' or pulling the odd log or something. Not for any real sustained productive use.
The 15 second rule stated is for max load (2,500 lbs), you basically can run it till it gets warm/hot.
How much "pull" do you need to get your vehicle out of "stuck"? And for how long?
What is "stuck"? Buried in mud?
How big a log and how far?
I bought one of the HF $60 specials primarily for pulling "stuff on wheels" up onto my trailer. Only used it for limited testing, worked fine.
But if you want to debate "duty cycles" Warn sells the Vantage 2000 for about $200 and has a "duty cycle" of a whopping 15 sec on for 10 MINUTES off.
