Been away from the forum for awhile but I just had to post this. My father in law has one of those orange tractors,which is broke down.He is one of those guys who has to have the best of everything. Well that was until I bought my 2520. So anyway,I was picking up his kabota from the dealer, of coarse I had to be wearing a JD tshirt and a nice JD sticker on the back window of the duramax when one of the contractors working next to the dealership walks over. He says "hey fella, how come you have a JD sticker on your truck and your loading up a kabota" I replied that the tractor was my father in laws and I was picking it up for him after getting fixed again. He walked away saying thats why we run all JD equipment here. My FIL just gave me on of those stares. Pricless

A few weeks back I stopped in at the Kubota dealership to see how the tractor that my dad had dropped off was doing and check on something else for my FIL. I happened to be wearing a nice Deere hat which I had gotten at a EFD for taking a testdrive. They asked me why I was wearing a JD hat and not a Kubota one, I said that I got it at EFD and I didnt have a Kubota hat. They then gave me a Kubota hat

I have an (ex) father-in-law who was extremely quality and cost concious. He didn't have a lawn tractor, but gave me a WORLD of grief about buying a John Deere. Kept telling me I could get the exact same thing cheaper with a Craftsman....

Then, a couple of years later, he decided he needed a riding mower. Know what he bought? Yup, JD.
