Man, I've been here for about a year and was hoping the Massey section would liven up. I guess our little secret of who really has the best built tractor is spreading.

On the downward complaint side, my 135 Deluxe got stuck in reverse somehow a few days ago. It was right after I got done mowing a pasture and was sitting at the end of a road getting ready to turn onto another one and had to wait for a truck to go by first, It had been in nuetral and I went to put it in 2nd and it went in reverse and won't budge out of it. I just backed it back up to the barn and left it ther till I have more time to deal with it.

Anybody know what's going on with it before I dig into it?

Unscrew the fluid plug by the shifter. Using a light and a long screwdriver. Move the slid on the rods until they line up. The whole transmission will then be in neutral. The problem is that the detentes wear over time and lets the shifter get into two gears.

Do just what Jerry g said have done this many times on our old 135. And I too am glad that This section is starting to hop as thses really are very good tractors. My brothers both own Deeres but I just couldnt do it my dad just barely for gave me the first time.

Ditto to what Jerry said, Mine has done once or twice now...

It seams to happen when I'm in a hurry (doin a little speed shifting ) /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif Easier to fix than a muncie 4 spd with a factory shifter stuck between second and third /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Tip:
Keep down pressure on the shift knob.

It will get jambed if you pull up on the knob when the bushing get worn.

I've been using this tractor since I learned how to drive a tractor 15 years ago when I was 10 and I have never seen it do this before. I guess anythgin can happen though, I'll tear into it sooner or later though!
