THIS is how you handle porch thieves

7 am porch pirates took it to another level.

I posted weeks ago the pirate on Street camera ransacking my car as I was bringing groceries in.

This morning several doors away my neighbors daughter with infant was adjusting the baby seat and was carjacked... right in driveway with garage door open... the late model RAV 4 gone... baby was in carrier on ground.

Police did respond... video footage as every car coming and going filmed.

I do believe moving to cut police 50% will embolden more...

As a side note in Oakland China town beset by robbery and theft against Asian the merchants hired private security.

Armed shop owner ran to the aid of a woman being robbed with shots fired driving off attackers... shop owner arrested...

Don’t see how this can ever be normal...

But lack of consequences has green lighted escalation in crime...

So far ALL neighborhood crime is via auto traffic on this blind street of 22 homes.

Can’t help but think a gate preventing car entry would help?

Just don’t know the logistics for deliveries, guests and such.

The police chief position is a revolving door... some only lasting days or months and lawsuits filed over wrongful dismissal.

Citizen review can terminate officers including Chief.

The sad truth is many in uniform are counting the days to pension...

Police will no longer stop vehicles for Minor issues such as missing tags...

Well...here's what evil me would do!
Take a nice big cardboard box. Cut a piece of cardboard a little smaller than box (thin plywood even better). Use four springs one each corner or 4 heavy duty rubber bands would work. Springs under, rubber bands on top. Push this plate down to bottom, held in place each side with a needle or pin.
To test it put balled up newspaper, tennis balls, etc in it. Close top...pull pins out.
Be sure opening it stuff flys everywhere.
Now the fun begins!
Push plate down, install pins, only now fill it with poop. That's right, cat, dog, people...whatever is handy! Close top, tape it closed, pull pins out...she's ready to fly!

Might be a good way to get your house burned down.

Remember, they know where you live. You know nothing about them.

No... it isn't right. Unfortunately, the cure may kill the patient...
