Third function valve kit

I got my 3rd function kit from everything attachments. WR long is the brand. They sell kits that are model specific if you call them have your tractor and loader model #'s handy. The kit for my kubota was very easy to install and comes with directions, did it in less than an hour. Comes with all hoses and couplers too.

I just installed a WR long kit from EA last weekend on my L4701. Very easy install even with the backhoe. All fittings were correct and straightforward. I ordered it with my grapple and the kit shipped separately. I was able to install it before my grapple was shipped.

I bought the kubota kit for mine. There was about a $25 price difference but I liked the kubota kit because the bracket was different and the valve didnt stick up so high and also I can easily source replacement parts for it from multiple sources

I'm not impressed with the Land Pride/Kubota kit when it comes to routing on MX series machines, but it could be better for other tractor models.

Easy 90 minute install. Works well and no complaints. I also installed one on my L6060.

I bought a WR Long 3rd function kit through EA when I ordered my grapple, thanks Travis. For those of you installing yourself, how difficult is it? Had one Kubota dealer quote me $380 in labor because "the MX5800 does require wheel removal to access the power beyond set" whatever that means. Are there instructions that come w/ the WR Long kit? I'm only semi-mechanical but if it's easy, it's easy. Thanks for the help so far!

It does come with some instructions and I've never heard of anyone having to remove the wheel to install a WR Long kit.
This isn't an MX, but it is a quite informative video by one of our customers.

You can fab a diverter valve setup for less than$300 with a little planning. I like the simplicity of a single momentary switch to use the curl function for the grapple clamp.

The dealer installed my land pride third function valve, all wires are hidden, and all hyd lines are tucked nicely out of the way. However I have seen some on this forum that are not protected. Good luck with your install.

I wish I had bought the kit from EA.

Just like nbking - I had the dealer install my W R Long valve kit and grapple. Everything is on the inside of the FEL arms and protected from limbs, roots, stobs etc. A couple of pics will explain. Everything is either between the FEL and tractor body or covered by that "shield".

BTW - I strongly recommend you do something like this to your grill guard. It can save your grill, radiator & battery.
