THinking about buying a 424

I have been looking at a 424 gas in good shape. Tractor has been taken care of. I can buy it for $1750.00. I have never owned an International, just fords. Is this a good buy and if so, is the 424 a good model? Just wanting small tractor to mow and do some garden work.
