Phillips head screws.

Self-centering though they may be, they are usually also self-stripping, especially with the cheap fastener materials used nowadays. I wish square drives were more popular; they are the way to go for wood in particular. And often, you can use a square drive bit to budge your stripped out phillips heads.

We have been chasing a fly around for a week. The other day when we went to town, a fly flap was on the list, but we forgot it. So far the folded TV Guide just isn't working on him.

My solution: dollar store fly swatter!

I have had excellent luck with these: Impact Driver Ready Accessories: Screwdriving Bits | DEWALT Tools They hold much better than a normal bit and dont break or strip out as often.

Had a bit once that was 2" long and machined from forged steel. NEVER had a problem in the 15 years I had it. No stripping of the screw and no rounding of the bit point. Thing was beautiful and the only phillips bit I had or used.... till it got stolen Now, I cant find another one like it. Cant even remember the brand

Yep... Forged Tools are thing of enduring beauty!

My best little pick/matok is Army issue circa WWII.

I just about cried when it got feet and walked away.

Thankfully, I found an Army Surplus store on the net that was selling them as collectors items and I was back in business.

In the interim, I found what appeared to be a direct replacement made in China... it was a casting and I broke it the first day ;-(

Morons who pull out 2 car lengths in front of you when you are doing 55MPH, then do 15MPH for 1000' and stop to make a left hand turn. I get 3-4 of them on the way to/from work every week.

It kills me. There have been times I have though about flooring it, and that is without even being angry. So, I changed my work hours from 8-5 to 6-3 so that I will not have as many repetitive bad circumstances.

Whats worse is that there is usually no one behind me, so if they had waited 5-10 seconds, they would have been able to pull out without endangering themselves or anyone else.

Or who pass me when I'm at or (usually) 9 over the speed
limit... then pull in and slam on the brakes to turn into a driveway.

A good chunck of my land use to be a gravel pit, that was reclaimed 20 years ago. Back when it was a pit, I remember that some people would use it as a dump. But now, even if trees are grown, fence and gate install with no tresspassing sign, there is still someone (i would tought it alaways the same person, stop by and dump something every year. Old atv tire, ols propane bottle, ect...... I hink I am going to put a game camera at that gate at the end of the land ( my house sits on the other end, 1500 feet away. So who ever this anyones me a frigging lot. I am working my rear end like a dog to pay for this piece of dirt and to maintain it. And thinkin that someone is just to lazy to drive to the real dump, or wait for the once a year when the town will pick up any un usuall garabage, is just driving me crazy..... Sometime i think it is just better if I never know who it is...... It would avoid things from going to deeep in insulte, and as the land was reclaimed little more than 20 years ago, I think it is prob a old man who kept his old dirty attitude.

I like a good debate on any issue. What annoys the heck out of me is people who can't seem to make arguments based on logical points, but instead just insult whomever they are debating against.

Maybe the other guy IS an inexperienced moron, but that doesn't support your position on the topic.
