I found this grind stone on the land we cleared for our home. It's a table now, a real heavy one.

I found a compound bow and a pan seat off an old old tractor

In my second growth fir forest, now with trees to 4ft+ diameter:

Broken cast iron door and frame for a barrel stove

Fire ring

I was digging out the bottom of a hillside to make room for a barn and hit a pet cemetery. My favorite was a hamster inside a Gatorade bottle and labeled Hannah. There were quite a few cat skulls and what looked to be chicken bones. I thought the rocks on top were just the remnants of an old flower bed. lol

My Mother, now deceased, had a gold ring made for me with the diamonds from her wedding ring....One winter day , very cold, I was slinging hay slices to the cows by the barn and later that night I realized my ring was gone...I was really sick...it had been so cold my fingers shrunk and was not wearing gloves...I went out the next morning, with my wife, son, daughter in law and we looked all over could not find it ...I thought one of the cows had eaten it...It was an expensive nugget ring..18 c gold..but it was the sentiment that made it priceless to me...

The next year I was just finishing my bush hogging and as I came up to put the tractor in the barn...I saw a patch of high grass around a tree in front of the barn and so I dropped the bush hog and started to cut when I heard a loud ping and saw a flash of something go by me...I got off the tractor and went to look by the head gate where I though I saw it hit...and there was my ring..with only a small dent in the bottom...otherwise fine...It had been in the baling twine under the tree close to where I had fed the cattle...then I would throw the twine there and my ring slipped off....I ran inside and told my wife...very happy ending..That's been yrs. ago now.

James...don't you know that's true...when I got down from the tractor an picked it up I was stunned...I said thank God...and went running to the house to show my wife...It was divine intervention in my view...
