Things found in the fields

-Found a clay pipe marked Glasgow at the bottom of a 13ft dug well once- here in Me. Found a 1/2 a clap pipe in our garden spot a 100 ft over. Mostly its stone I find in the fields!

I found my own buck pocket knife when I dug up part of a sprinkler system I installed 8 years before.

I have found some loose barbed wire once when mowing up close to a fence, but luckily it didn't wind too tightly about the blades on my bushhog. I found a horseshoe on my daughter in laws new property. It was fresh off a horse from the previous owner as it was still shiny. I found 3 old cultivator spade type plow points when disking up my garden, luckily I didn't split open a tire on one of them. When using my box blade leveling off a place to build my shop, I hung 3 big pieces of concrete with the scarifiers. They seemed to be from concreting in fence post but they were far off the current property line so I have no idea why they were there.
Mostly I am like tcreeley, mostly all I ever find is rocks sometimes huge ones.

My father in-law found a dead guy.

My father in-law, years ago, was out plowing or discing his field when he came upon this dead guy laying in his field. We asked my father in-law what he did when he found the guy, he said he finished plowing the row he was working on.

Turns out the guy had wondered over from a local establishment and then shot himself.

We have some friends that have lots of arrow heads in their fields. I have yet to find one!

My best friends grandfather is an arrowhead collector and he said that's where he finds most of his, in agriculture production fields. He finds a field that has been freshly broken and asks the land owners if he can walk the field, usually they don't mind. I've seen a small portion of his collection and it is amazing how many he finds. All different shapes and sizes, I bet it numbers in the thousands!

Some of my finds include an old frying pan with a distinct notch cut in the edge, old shotgun shell casings, and occasionally small fossils. Old glass bottles seem to be most of what I find.
