well, that's a great price. I should have ordered from you
I got ripped by the dealer @$1200.00 installed.
It was a spur of the moment decision.
I have been known to make many spur of the moment decisions ,that I have regretted later

A few hours' shop rate for installation is reasonable.

Mopardude, restrictors in the lines to your grapple cylinder would slow it down. I was planning on putting them in mine but with dual lids there's twice the volume and it's slow enough for me.

I had flow restrictors on my yanmar bucket grapple.
When winter came fluid was thicker. When I tried to use my grapple, It was too slow. I removed the restrictors

So it has an electric button you push on a joystick? If you can operate loader up/down, Dump and the grapple all at the same time you have a true 3rd function system. If you can only operate 2 of the 3 you have a diverter.

I bet it’s a true 3rd function. Sounds like it need a flow control device to slow down fluid flow to grapple cylinder. You may want to install such a device at the grapple so that you don’t limit hydraulic flow to other attachments.

Okay then I have a true third function. Yes I have an electric button. A flow restrictor fitting at the grapple makes sense, maybe I will try one. I suppose I would need 2, one for each line? open and close?

Do you have a single lid or dual? Mine is a dual lid and is surprisingly fast but not too fast. I imagine a single lid would be like a T-rex ready to eat something. 16.2 GPM baby!

Yes, I have a single lid! 16.2 GPM sure closes the lid violently, I would rather the option to feather it and close nice and smooth. Same for the hydraulic auger, I know that a sudden start/stop for the auger may not be the healthiest for the auger motor, so maybe there is also something I can do for that...But I don't know what that would be.

You only need one adjustable flow control valve per circuit, not two.

I had some good news in my inbox this morning. It's great to hear feedback like this!

Claude from Rhode Island has a 60" Single Lid Wicked Grapple on his JD tractor with a 300CX loader.
"Hello, I just received my grapple and I am very impressed with the design and workmanship. I am a heavy equipment operator so I can appreciate good welding and steel work. My firewood will be easier now. Thanks again for a great website, literature, YouTube, and service on the phone. I will be sure to spread the word and leave a good review on website. Thank you."

Randy from Tennessee simply sent this pic with a caption reading: "Love it!!!!!! Thanks again for your help."

I had a little snow day fun with the camera yesterday. A few inches shut down the town!!

Our lead times have greatly improved and most orders have been shipping in around 2 weeks or less!!!!! MUCH better than earlier in the year.
