Re: The WICKED Root & Debris GRAPPLE!!!!!!!

Pictures are worth 1,000 words. I and probably most others appreciate pictures when shopping for products.

Can you point us in the direction of a less boring, more valuable and active grapple thread on TBN?
I couldn't find one.
If it's somewhere other than TBN, please PM the link to me out of respect to the sponsors here on TBN.
Travis

Come on Travis, we're not that dumb. There were many grapple discussions before you started playing the game of insuring that your marketing thread was always at the top of the recent post list. You post an inane photograph every time the thread goes without a post for more than a few days to keep it on top. Bumpmaster Travis.

If this thread bothers you so much, why do you keep reading it? I mean, you are free to just ignore it. After all, the title of the thread pretty much tells you what they are going to talking about in here....

I read this one, along with a bunch of other ones while trying to get some information on grapples that may/may not work on my tractor. Knowing he is representing his company just goes into my evaluation thinking, but doesn't just make me roll my eyes and walk away. If you walk into the Chevy dealer for a new truck, you kind of know what kind of pitch you are going to get, but you can still good information from them.

Re: The WICKED Root & Debris GRAPPLE!!!!!!!

With all due respect IT, I think folks are simply getting weary of your frequent attacks on EA and its customers. This is the Wicked Grapple thread after all and we appreciate what Travis does to keep us in the loop. We do like our grapples and many of us even agree with you in principle that relatively narrow, single lid grapples are often the perfect tool. BUT - I also recognize that others may prefer and enjoy their wider double lid grapples too. You are without a doubt a premier subject matter expert on the topic of grapples, especially on matters that involve a personal opinion, and I simply think it is important to note that others may feel differently than you do and their opinion is just as valid as yours and mine on overall suitability for their purposes.

As a seasoned grapple owner you can fully appreciate your particular machine and specific attachments more than most of those who are contemplating a new grapple. Looking at these "baby grapple" photos, as you put it, is a tremendously powerful way of illustrating exactly what EA Wicked Grapples can do, and it is likely as impactful to newbies as it was to me when I was shopping. And the pictures also provide insights as to what might be expected based on the machine they are installed on. I recall finding your grapple/tractor pictures very useful when shopping around for my grapple - thanks for posting those. You should post more in the Grappling fun thread!

Long story short is that I hope you can keep being productive while perhaps considering tapering back on your hyper criticisms of anything that is not a 36" wide single lid grapple with a 50" opening and that weighs 100 pounds. (Now that would be cool though...) :p

Be well!

Warning! Gratuitous baby grapple picture attached.

Well stated! And ..... a great picture!

Thanks.

Seems to me there are more posts about IT's posts than IT himself posts.

Yep, guess that puts him the minority of those who share his point of view.

Your point?

You are mostly posting about his posts. Now I am posting about your posts about his posts. Nuts. Put him on ignore please and the rest of us can read the thread. He has good content and has helped out many TBN members and made EA's grapples better.

Doesn't give him carte blanche to bulldog the thread or bulldog peoples decisions on which grapple. Saying "this is the internet" isn't an excuse for poor manners or lack of common courtesy.

I was hopin someone would get a kick outa that. I was trying to find a picture of a cartoon tractor with a grapple, but that was close as I could get. Not much of an artist or I'd draw one!
