I agree, the extra lift capacity would allow the grapple to be curled up and carry a much bigger load.

I ....... was joking, making fun of the constant drumbeat of only narrow grapples are any good. Do you really think you could overload FEL with loose hay?

Perhaps a triple lid would work better?

Yeah I was thinking maybe a dual grapple, split in the center. 4 jaws, an upper and a lower on each side. It would work like 2 giant hands out in front, or maybe a giant lobster. The lobster theme fits in with the Wicked Awesome east coast slang too.

Nah, you'd want a double decker grapple with the bottom one mounted upside down. Minimum four lids of course. Better yet would be double decker with extra perpendicularly mounted side lids as well. Eight feet wide at least. Keep the weight under 1000 lbs with high strength 5/16" steel and a good sized CUT could still lift a full load of hay. Yeah baby. Make Amazing Grapples Again..

Why stop at three? How about an upper cylinder and tine to align with each lower tine? If two are better than one, twelve must be better than two. :D

This isn't Lays Potato Chips, I can stop at one. :D

OK, it's far from Wicked, but this thread has survived many derailments over the years!

For fun, we're selling our Land Pride SGC0548 BX Grapple to the highest bidder in the EA Channel Facebook Group.
Never been used, but it does have some holes, which were for research purposes.

I'll extend the same deal to you guys if you want to get in on the bidding.
Head over to the group or feel free to PM me on TBN with your bid. Tell me your zip code and I can easily provide a freight quote.
Shipping varies by location, but the quotes I've ran so far have been just over $100.
Travis

See the pic for more details!

Current bid is at $500. I'll post updates as it rises.

Great deal for anyone with a BX tractor. I got my SSQA grapple 12 yrs ago at an eBay auction. It was also a prototype for Millonzi. Still going strong. Nothing wrong with prototypes.

I'd be bidding if 1) I owned a BX and 2) if it had at least two or three lids. Great deal if it sells close to asking.
