Put the snow plow, tractor, mower deck and pallet forks on the trailer and we're ready to go!

Nice job on the photos! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thanks for sharing, but darn it if you didn't give me the itch to buy something new for my little green beast. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Well, now you have to go and do sometihng nice for the wife so that you can make the trip!

Maybe tell her that you want to go on a little vacation in beautiful mountains of Virginia, traveling down Skyline Drive, enjoying the tractors, oops, I mean scenery.... /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Yep...it's beautiful down there, and my wife suggested(all on her own!) that maybe we go camping again in Virginia(what a coincidence!!).....and how "purdy" everything is when it's new!! We have had so much mud to deal with while adding onto our house it's hard to tell if the beast is still green or did it change colors this autumn to mud brown! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Tried that but she knows to stay away from the Appalachians just because that's Power Trac territory. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

There's got to be a campground, or resort down there close enough so that you can sneak out for a few hours for a "visit"?

Thanks for sharing this terrific photo adventure. It was a lot of fun. We all appreciate the time you took to do this. I'll have to save up for something fun.

Sincerely,

I got my 425 this september a year ago and by october my father inlaw asked the wife if she thought we would have to mow the lawn again and her reply was from the looks of our yard I doubt we will ever have to mow the yard again. Since then the yard has come back as grassy as ever. I put in a septic system and dug several ditches and it was so muddy you couldn't hardly get around in the yard and the pt was like a little mud dobber tracking mud every where.

When I was down there, it had been raining quite a bit the day before and was sprinkling while I was out on the tractors. Man, was I glad for the lid that they put on the ROPS!

Anyway, you can imagine the mud on the big pile! Both the 1430 and 425 just motored right through the mud with no problems, even when carrying a full bucket of dirt!

nice... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I noticed in the 4-in-1 bucket videos the 425 almost stalled going up the hill right at the end of the video. Was that operator error or too low a throttle? Looked like he was reaching for the throttle when the video cut off...

I remember that. He dug at a pretty deep angle and did have the throttle lower than it should have been. I also noticed that when he was using the bucket that he only ramped up the throttle when he thought he needed it.

/ The Trip To Tazwell Story #57
I heard that, too. I usually run at full throttle for just about all work. Gives me maximum power without fumbling for the throttle. I've had that happen just a few times when I'm beating on it a little too hard or run into an unseen unmovable object like a hidden tree stump or I back into a tree in the woods. Good indicator to find another angle or approach is when you hear that. Back off and re-think for a second or two.

For those of you looking for an excuse to take trip down to the Mecca in Tazwell, there is a nice little campground close by in WV called Berwind Lake WMA Campground.

LEt the wife know that you are thinking about here and take her down, (or up) for a nice scenic and relaxing trip.

They have hiking Trails, Bikes. 4x4s. Campgrounds. Waterfalls... (sigh...) /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
