That's why I went with them. There is spotty cell service for AT&T and Verizon.
The Tactacam goes to the strongest signal. That actually seems to work. The screen tells me front camera "Very Strong" Verizon.
Back camera, "Very strong", US Cellular. I have never had less than 4 bars for them.
Today, the one B&W camera sent a color photo. Then they have all been B&W again all afternoon.

Finally after two days I received a call from Tactacam. The woman can view all my photos from her position. She said she would have to search why the one camera is only B&W and I asked her to email me a solution.

Her response: It appears your filter is stuck. Tap the side of the camera and see if that resolves the issue. If not, let me know and we will arrange to send the camera back for service under warranty.

OK. The highly tech oriented repair...Smack it! If that doesn't work, I am not going to remove the camera and be without one for who knows how long. I will return it to Tractor supply and get my money back and get another one that will hopefully work.
The camera was only up for one day before it malfunctioned.

U just gotta laugh when they say stuff like THAT.!!
I was at the Bosch factory training school in Chicago..
learning the electronic injection pump that goes on the VW’s..
We get all the way to setting the max. fuel..and I quote,
“With a soft faced MALLET, hit the top cover forward or back, depending on which way u need the delivery”..
I laughed so hard the instructor stopped talking and asked me WHAT WAS SO FUNNY.??
I said REALLY.?? You have a
$3000.00 inj pump, with electronics in the top cover and THE BEST U CAN COME UP WITH IS, HIT IT WITH A HAMMER.??!! I had the class rollin’..

Percussive adjustments are valid

🤣 ROTFLOL That is a truly awesome story, from both sides that a) Bosch would consider "percussive adjustments" (thank you @Dftodd) validated, and b) you could see the humor (ok absurdity) of smacking an expensive electromechanical device to adjust it.

Thanks for making my day.

All the best,

Peter

Two Tactacams are up and running...somewhat. One of them gave color photos for about 4 hrs and now nothing but B&W. Tried calling again, wait times over 30 mins. Went to "Chat", same thing. Sent email and 15hrs later received reply saying it was being assigned to the next available person...that was 24hrs ago. Cameras are supposed to take instant photo or video (cost extra for that) and they aren't.
Wife gets photos and video on her phone that I don't get on my computer and I get photos (no video) on my computer that she doesn't get on her phone.
Company sucks.
Thanks for that report. Reads like their quality control has suffered and their after sale support has declined.

Saw a burnt dozer at the sawmill yesterday. Told the owner that I hoped he bought it for parts. He said it was his sons.
They were logging a piece of property that the timber was sold at auction separate from the property. Well apparently the new owners have been trying every legal tactic they could to delay the logging. Now that the judge sided with the loggers the tactics are changing. They have a cutoff date in which to get the logging done. Told me he has cameras up now that send pics to his phone.

Had a similiar problems with a timber sale here.
The two save the planet guys fell and injured themselves in two seperate incidents. One guy decided that the second time he fell and injured himself, that it was time for him and his wife to leave town.
I do not condone vigilante justice.

The house I am in now got broken into when I was working on it. Derelict from down the street stole my circular saw, shop vac, garbage HF angle grinder, and the absolute worst...2 bottles of champagne that my wife's office gave her for us to celebrate when I got the house done. I was more po'd about the champagne than the tools.

I knew he took the stuff. There was a cig butt on the ground under the window of the odd bargain basement brand he smoked.
A couple weeks later I saw him walking down the road. The roads around here are really narrow and I drive a dually. I made sure to come so close he wouldn't have to shave the next morning.
A couple days later he was gone. The neighbor said he decided to move back to NY.
