My dad was a ford tractor dealer back in the red and grey days.
When the new Golden Jubilee model was introduced in 1953....Ford sent one "Golden Jubilee" to each dealer to show at the County fair, parades, etc. It was in fact painted Golden in color. We had to re-paint our golden tractor back to the red and grey of the times in order to sell the tractor to a local farmer. :confused2:
I wish that gold tractor had been put away in a shed somewhere. Those Jubilee's were quite a tractor.
