The psychology of tractor colors.

My dad was a ford tractor dealer back in the red and grey days.

When the new Golden Jubilee model was introduced in 1953....Ford sent one "Golden Jubilee" to each dealer to show at the County fair, parades, etc. It was in fact painted Golden in color. We had to re-paint our golden tractor back to the red and grey of the times in order to sell the tractor to a local farmer. :confused2:

I wish that gold tractor had been put away in a shed somewhere. Those Jubilee's were quite a tractor.

Henry Ford said basically the same thing as long as it was black.

That is my plan too!

Black tractor with chrome wheels and certain other parts, and a flames paintjob on the front!

YEAH BABY!!!!

I'll Call it a Mossy Ferguson, or a Mossflower Moline, or a Deer John, or a MoFoMoCo (Moss Flower Motor Co.)... Hmmm...

:D:D:D

I think any one of the baked on camo patterns seen on high end shot guns would be kind of cool. You could sneak up on the dirt.

I like it!

Except for the thought that at the end of the day, when you leave it in the field and go home to bed, it might be hard to find again in the morning...

I believe BLACK would signify the limousine of tractors!! Trick it out as desired with ORANGE flames or maybe a mural on the side.:licking:

Since my great uncle sold Minneapolis Moline tractors back in the day, I'm kind of partial to Prairie Gold. In their later years, they changed colors some - i've seen a metallic copper color that was alomost brown on some of them. Not an expected color, but looked pretty neat, like the Jet Star pictured here: TractorData.com Minneapolis-Moline Jet Star tractor photos information

I too have been partial to the MM color scheme. More so the yellow with white accents such as shown below.
