Well, it finally happened. We got rain today. First measurable rain in about 6 weeks.

I knew it was coming, so I did some rebaking of a few broken bales and some cleaning up before it hit. Here’s the first drops on the Magnum’s hood at about 1:30 today

Once I got these small rows baled up, I stacked bales we made over the weekend. Great to get some rain.

Tomorrow should be a big cutting day. I have a 40 acre farm I’m heading to.

That power line tower looks like it is going to tip over. I assume the land is sloped. Jon

Yeah thats a steep hillside for sure. Sometimes when a bale comes off the chute, it’ll pop an outer string because of the stress it puts on the bale.

A few pictures from an underbrushing job with the skid steer today, and just for you Eddie i added a couple of pictures of my forestry mowing rig. Hay Dude if you want me to start another thread I can, I am not trying to take your's over just thought some different type of mowing might make it interesting.

And on to the next place. This one is about 45 acres in 4 pastures.
Today was the first day in a long time I plugged the mower. I started a little too early and last nights rain was still down low in the grass. We got 3” of rain. It was a bit lodged, too.
Once afternoon hit, mowing became much easier.

Had a visitor. The local Railroad

Mowed until about 8PM. Tough start to this day with the mower plugging, but the day ended pretty well. Hopefully will finish this property today, but chance of rain.

The hay mowers and field mowers seem to be pretty trouble free (knock on wood).

We're wet for the past 2 weeks or more and it's in the forecast for the next couple.
The friend I help out when I can makes silage rounds but it still needs a few hours of sunshine before bailing.

Does the Kubota 75 require DEF ?

It does not, that's the main reason I went with it instead of the SVL-97, it does regen though.

Does the Kubota 75 require DEF ?

No DEF on the 75 which seems to be a more reliable setup than the def on the larger machines. It’s also about the top end of what you can haul without a CDL.
