Is that only your mulch hay portion or also what you sell personally? If what you sell personally do you price accordingly?
Not sure I’m understanding you correctly.
All my hay is sold through my LLC.
I sell about 800 tons of mushroom hay and about 150-200 tons of feed hay annually.

I think he meant since you are making heavier feed bales ( more hay per bale ) did you go up in price on them, that's how I took it.

I sell those by size (4x4x5) not weight. However, I did increase my price on those this year, so yes the heavier weight is factored-in.

I was referring to the bales you sell as feed hay and if you priced accordingly for the extra hay in them. Your mushroom hay your paid by ton and weighed but making heavier bales for an individual sale then trying to explain to them that the bales have more hay in them and yet they look the same to them.

Haven't posted here yet but I made a modification to my round baler and next year I will be making different density bales based on usage.

Yes, I made them haevier this year and upped my prices accordingly.
Wouldn’t mind having a platform scale for the smaller ones-every once in a while you get a skeptic. It’d be fun to shut them up.

The buyers I have seem to be the trusting type.

More action today on The Lord’s Day. Lord forgive me for working today, rain’s coming.
Baled hay with the Eagles-Rams game on in the cab. Tried to enjoy something fun while baling….

First was previous field that was baled and needed to be stacked. Down the steep hill I go into the valley with 2 biscuits on the loader.

Then back to baling. This field was a PITA with a lot of triangular areas, but I got it done. It was cloudy today-Sun never really came out until about 4PM.

To paraphrase one of my old friends... I'd rather be on the tractor thinking about God, than sitting in church thinking about what isn't getting done on the tractor.

Hmmmm I like that.
I do think a lot about my Lord, Father & Savior often while working. Jesus Christ is perfect.

I pray and I ask the Lord for his blessing, forgiveness and mercy.
Although I am nobody special, He has blessed me in many beautiful ways.
I have a great wife and wonderful, successful children.

You may not be special in your eyes, but you are special in HIS eyes.
