wow impressive the Beast is definitely deserving of the severe extreme duty Tag. I wouldn't have to worry about breaking or bending this thing if i snagged something hard i'd be more worried about ripping the 3pt off my tractor.
Its 500-800 lbs heavier than the closest competitors with hydraulic shanks which usually adds a fair amount of weight. Curious to see the torture testing though

Hopefully i will get a descent bonus next year and i can get a box scraper. Sadly I'll still be looking at the Gannon or FFC with Hydraulic Shanks and bolt on replaceable side plates. I think lifting and setting almost 250 lbs of shanks a couple times would definitely convince me of the hydraulic option

Decided to by a Bush Hog this year instead.

as a side note When I checked around at local dealers your price on the FFC 240 was still less than any of the locals quoted by almost $200

That box blade came out great, good match for a 125 hp tractor and up.

im curious what the market is for this.

If you want to move dirt, a 6 yard pan is much more effective and are easy to find used. after all your pulling it with a ~200hp tractor.

if you need to rip up hard ground there are existing dedicated ripper/subsoilers for this size tractor. not uncommon to see them for rent at the local dealers or FSA.

for road maintenance BB this size are usually pull behind with a set of gauge wheels because, due to weight, they are way to aggressive to fine grade without a set of gauge wheels

while the weight would be great for ditching, well... we all know BB just make for poor ditching because they fill up quickly and cant windrow the material and its difficult to tilt them without a TNT and .....

Id be curious to know what the market is for the beast.

It may be the customers that spend more time welding on their current BB than using it.

150 HP and up tractors would just mangle our 8' Bush Hog BB I am sure. Some use BB more for dozing than for moving dirt. In fact I do not know of any one who uses them to move much volume of dirt but do use a dirt moving pan.
