Kubota B2620
Today was the much anticipated day... the arrival of my B2620. I got the loader, 60" MMM and the ballast box. The snowblower is on order from Kubota. I ordered the bar/turf combo tires but they are not in yet so the dealer put turfs on and is going to swap next week. Compared to my old G2460, this thing is just huge and awesome.

If anybody can help me with the MMM adjustment, please let me know. For some reason I didn't get a manual for the deck. The anti-scalp rollers are currently set as high as possible. The mower deck seems to bottom out until I put the height dial on 3 and then it starts to move but is no where close to a 3" cut. I would appreciate any guidance. Thanks in advance!

Evil,

I have the B2620.. you will love it. I had a BX2200.. also a great tractor.

Set the dial where you want it to cut and then set the scalp wheels so they do not drag the ground all the time. They can touch and spin at times but do not let them drag the ground like you would on a smaller mower.

They are just there for protecting your deck and lawn.

If they are on the ground running with weight they will burn off in no time.

If they roll around running over the yard then they are OK.

The numbers on the dial are just that. Pull up on the driveway and measure the blades to the pavement. If your 3.5 inches is 4 on the dial then use 4.

If you still have the old mower and can cut a line and then do the same with the new so the cust is the same you are all set.

Don't get too **** about it. Pick the number on the dial you want to use and always go back to it.

Have fun. Enjoy your new toy. It is great.

OH Ya,

Evil, Fill out your profile. Need to know where you are. Might need parts.

Just a joke Son, just a joke................. (foghorn-Leghorn)

Nice looking beer cooler on the back.. I always used the loader for a beer cooler/carrier.

Good luck. I've had mine for several months now. Receive the fel, 60"mmm, landprider 5' cutter and 5' rear blade. Just order the bh65 backhoe. Wish I would of ordered that with the tractor, would of saved some money.

I had the bx2200 before also. This tractor will probably stay with me for a while.

I may not be explaining this right. The scalp rollers are set as high as they go, of course this is not right. They should be 1/4 to 1/2" higher than the deck and only lightly contact the ground. The problem is the height dial does not seem to be set up right. If I put it on 2.5 and lower it down, it bottoms right out on the driveway. The rear of the deck will be touching and the front edge is maybe 1/4" off the pavement. This keeps happening until I get the dial all the way to 3.5. Then when I lower it, it finally doesn't bottom out. If I crank it all the way as high as it goes, I can only get 3 fingers under the blade, which is about 1.5" cutting height. I peeked under the machine and I'm wondering if they forgot to adjust the linkages that connect to the suspended arms!?

I'm in central NY. I updated my profile with some info. I'm at 1003 feet on a hilltop and keeping the driveway open in the Winter can be quite a challenge. Until my windbreaks grow up, I'm thinking this beast will make it a lot easier on me.

Evil,

I have exactly the same set up. You'll be really happy with the tractor, and the cut of the mower deck, once you get it set up.

It sounds like the dealer did not adjust the deck before delivery. Especially since they didn't provide you with the manual for it. I have a manual for the tractor, one for the loader, and one for the mower deck. The mower deck manual has all the instructions on how to adjust the deck, maintain it, and remove it. Its a drive over deck, so these instructions are important. Also, some of the grease points are a little hidden, being underneath the tractor. So you might have a hard time finding them without the manual.

I'd get the dealer to come out and adjust the deck, as they should have - and bring you the manual that they forgot to send out. If you don't get it, let us know and I will PDF the deck adjustment sections to you.

Contrary to popular belief, the deck can be set up so that the dial is accurate - mine was when initially delivered. However, it goes out of adjustment quite easily. Have 30 hrs on my machine, and I have to adjust it already. I also bought some mulching blades, that I need to install, so I will be removing the deck, cleaning it out, swapping blades, and adjusting it at the same time. The manual will definitely be needed. Additionally, you need the manual for the torque settings on the spindle bolts. You really need the manual.

PS. Did you get your hats? My dealer didn't send any with the tractor, so I had to call them up after the fact - they sent me two!
