Thinking outside the box.

To acquire a new found appreciation for your surroundings/blessings volunteer to spend a week in Haiti.

Visit/Spend some time at a local animal rescue. Unconditional love abounds in each kennel.

Don't forget to call your brother.

OK I've got another one for you. This can be done at home.
Someone mentioned boy scouts and all scout troops need Patrol boxes. You can build them and then have a troop come pick them up.

Do a search on the net there a many design and perhaps you can come up with something better.

Activate your mind in a different direction.

Patrol Box plans to choose from

Eddie:

I just Googled "Divorce support group Tyler Texas" and found a large number of them. At least 15 or 20, maybe more.

You really should try a few out. They will get you out of the house and into an activity with others who understand your situation completely.

Try a number of them and if you don't like some just don't go back.

Eddie,

We got a couple of inches down here on the coast to make an already soggy mess soggier!

I tried to do some work last week at my barn before the rain hit. I built up a low area at a gate with some dirt. Everything went smooth until I tried to plow through to the other side. I had been adding dirt and packing it down as I went. Apparantly I piled it too high in the middle and I sunk down. Had to get the chevy to pull her out. Overall I was pleased about my Kubotas ability to handle the muck. I was testing the limits and I found them.

Waiting for spring/summer so I can get some work done.

Hang tough Eddie, Things will work out in the end. It doesn't seem like it now but it will. Jim

Eddie,

I am one who believes that things happen for a reason. That mostly we do not understand and is beyond us. It is called destiny. Just remember...when one door closes, another door will open. That's the way Life unfolds. I am sorry for your pain, Eddie.

And you need to get a dog!

Thanks Dave, I never thought of this. I have been thinking of seeing what classes are available that might help me with my business. Back before I met Steph, I went out with a girl who was going to something that met once a week and went over how to start up a business, run a business and make it successful. It was put on by the Junior College, or at least that's what I thought she said. Not really a class, but more like a meeting type setting.

I did not see your original post Eddie, but I just read this one and all I can say is "wow" oh my goodness :(

The other members have said so much all I can do is say that you have my support, condolences and prayers. God Bless, time will look after you as you are a great person with a good soul and heart. You will be fine.

I am surprised no one else has suggested it yet but... finish up your current jobs and TBN Roadtrip! Sounds like you need to start with your brother and then keep on driving ;) Even if it's just TX there has to be plenty of members to visit/work on projects with. If you make it to Idaho we have a spare bedroom here. :)

charlz,

Funny, but one of the things I suggested to Steph that we do for a vacation is rent an RV and travel around the country to see some of our TBN friends. Stay for a day at their place, meet them in person, see their land, explore their part of the country and then go do it all over again. I just think that would be so much fun and interesting.

As much as I'd love to take off and take in a change of scenery, it's just not an option. The events that happened have shaken me up and have left me feeling insecure and afraid. I'm putting in a securty system, changed all the locks and have added several more locks. I don't expect anything to happen, but I sit here in the dark and get to wondering. I didn't suspect anything, so what is possible, and what isn't possible? My doubts turn into fears and then I start imagining what ifs. I'm armed and dangerous, but i don't want to go there.

In time, my confidence should come back. I'm actually not too worried about that part of it, and the security system is a good idea anyway. Being able to record everything and see who' coming down the road is worth what I've spent. It also gives me something else to do, so it's a win win all the way around.

Eddie, when all this is behind you and you get back to yourself, you are going to need a long, dirty and crappy smelling mop to keep the single women at bay. I promise.;)

You are in survival mode, your security is shaken and you want to shore it up. Go ahead and do some stuff that alleviates this feeling. You will get to feeling better and I think I hear a glimmer of it in your posts. Keep your head up and know that you are a great guy and you have done the best in a bad situation. Turn and look forward and live for the day and let tomorrows worries and concerns wait. Sometimes when things seem shook up and stressful do something normal and routine it seems to make me feel normal and that helps (me anyway). Most of all and most importantly lean on the Lord. Psalms 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Eddie,
Glad to see that you're staying active here on TBN, but take a day and go visit your brother. It will do you some good.

Then I went to Office Max, Office Depot and Best Buy to look at a new computer.

Eddie,
Check out Tigerdirect.com and look at their factory refurbished PCs. They have really good deals on off-lease machines. Three years ago we got a HP 2.4g P4 with XP Pro for under $200.00 with a 1 year warranty for our daughter. If you are not a heavy gamer or video editor, they are great machines to consider.
