Hi
I'm Fred Hoffman, retired. My user name is derfric. I own mainly Massey Ferguson tractors: a 492 MFWD w. loader, a 180 diesel, and a 150 gas w. loader. I also have a JD 7700 Turbo combine and an Oliver 66.
I farm 120 acres about 60 miles north of the Twin Cities. 30 acres is tillable, the balance is mixed hardwood and pasture.
I sugar off as a hobby, however, my main crops are beans, hay, and oats. I currently have 20 acres in hay, and 10 acres with winter rye hiding somewhere under the snow (the deer and the turkeys love it.)
Although my farming is mainly a hobby, it does produce some income, and I enjoy it.
That's my story, and I'm stickin' to it.
