Blueriver, is the wood loaded into the side bottom of the rim fire pit - like a wood burning stove?

Is the middle rim's center cut out?

Thanks Lou!! I did that one night when I was drinking things over!!! I knew it was a good invention and would work .. When I woke up in the morning .. I forgot!!
