We finally tested the log arch - its hot to be cutting wood - but had a big oak get hit by lightning and decided to try out our new contraption. The wheels and tires are off a little pop up camper trailer - I know - i know but they were laying around with a total cost of - nothing !

We loaded up the first tree and needed to put more air in the tires - haha it pop'd them off the rims. The first log was 19 feet by 20 inches round (red oak)

did real well, I towed it down the road with the tractor -

next section was the base of the tree - little bigger than the first

it blew out both tires ! ohhh well - im looking for trailer tires now and will go back and try the tree again

I had the tree strapped up near the front - i took it off and then remember to take a pic

Forgive my ignorance, but I thought the idea was to just lift one end of the log and drag it to the cut site? I guess not necessarily?

Not all are like that - this one picks up the entire log. I dont like to drasg them and get a bunch of dirt on the bark. Much easier on the chains when we buck them before splitting.

Plus I can pick a log up and cut on the end of it while it is suspended in the air. Much better than working on the ground
