Mowing Temperature toooo high

   / Temperature toooo high #41
I've got the same problem with my Kioti RX6010C. Even on an 80 degree day the temperature will go almost to red if I keep bush hogging (8 ft.). I took it to a tractor repair shop, they changed thermostat, cleaned radiator, straightened some fins, and it STILL RUNS HOT when worked a little. I'm very unhappy with it. Of course both the dealer, and many individuals on this forum, say WE'VE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM. I own 3 other tractors,John Deere, Kubota, and Farmtrac, and none of them have the overheating problem of my Kioti. I tried to sell it at a tractor auction, and didn't bring enough money. Beware of resale on a Kioti.

Mulespb, don't give up. It took several tries for Ranchofla to find his problem, but once he did, he (at least seems) is happy with his tractor. Any machinery, regardless of brand, can give trouble, and sometimes the cause of the problem can be difficult to pinpoint. From what I have picked up on this forum, certainly Kioti's have their share of problems, but it doesn't seem to be anymore than other brand, and with few exceptions, I have not noticed any (many) common issues. (Some idiosyncrasies for sure!)

As for the resale...quite possibly, I really couldn't say. When I was shopping for a tractor, Kioti was the best 'fit' for me. It turned out to be the cheapest (for the features) tractor, so I would expect it to resale for considerably less. But, honestly, how much would YOU bid on ANY brand tractor that was overheating, and had not been repaired??

I am still happy with my fix, the temp is staying where it should be when mowing or moving dirt. I agree that Mulespb and his mechanic have a bit more detective work to do and the issue should be able to be resolved. Still happy with my purchase of a used Kioti 8 yrs and 500 plus hours later....
