Telescopic stabilizer bar bent?

I noticed when I changed my blade, to my new box blade tonight, that one of the telescopic stabilizers was bent down a little (the solid piece). I took it apart and straightened it out ok. What do you think that I did to bend it? I need suggestions so I don't do it again. I don't know if it was done while the blade was on or when? I thought that all it does is to prevent sway from the implement. I thought it was adjusted correctly. Does kubota have the touch up for that grey color?
