I have 50 hours on it now. It runs awsome. I am getting used to the RPM and believe it to be accurate. I thought it was over-reving but now i dont. Just sounds great. The fuel goes like this, first 3 hours the guage dont move and then it moves fast to to empty but still has 3 gallons after it hits empty. I ran it at 2300 rpms and got 8 hours per approx 8 gallons of fuel twice so it runs about a gallon an hour which is not a true hour at that rpm but more like 1.25. real hours per gallon. Its funny the nebraska test results say 3 gallons an hour at rpm but i fint it hard to believe. It must be under full load or something. The temp gauge stays at the spot just between the blue and green line on the bottom but i had it go up to center green and i knew something was up so i checked the front screen and it was full of hay chaff so after i cleaned it everything was back to normal. It was 95 hot and humid and after 8 hours at 2300 the temp gauge didnt move. Only thing i notice is when cutting the wheels all the way the front tires(R4) hit the loader arms. Other people must have the same problem. design flaw i guess. Otherwise im very happy with it so far.

I think after the break in of 50 or more hrs these tractors start to show there light . With better fuel economy and more HP . The same happend with my TC40D. A few days after i did the 50 hr service the HP really increased and the fuel use went down . I think the Nebraska test show the gpm for the hydraulic flow didnt meet the specs but i think NH added the power steering flow into the total gpm for the hydraulics to advertise the tractor. They should do a retest on the 2110.
The tractor isnt really all that much bigger frame wise than the TC40 but the weight is alot more and seems to make it a stable tractor.

I would buy the TC55DA again .

I've noticed the same thing about the fuel guage on my 55.

My tractor has performed flawlessly in the first 20 hours. I will say that it like a totally different machine since I filled the rear tires. Now, I can do things in 2wd that I would have needed 4wd to do before adding the weight.

Around a gallon a hr seems about right as far as fuel usage . It will get better in time after a few hundred hrs after a complete break in of the engine. The gage on mine does the same as yours the first 1/4 goes slow then it moves quicker to the empty mark but you still have 3 or 4 gal left.

Anyone notice with the TL270 loader....... you can't back drag using the bottom surface of the bucket because it does not go down passed ground level ? If I tip it forward the tooth bar will dig in.

i can backdrag with mine no problem but i have no tooth bar.

i made a mistake on the hour calculation. i said 1.25 real hours but i went backward and really .8 real hours because the meter is going faster at 2300. So more like 8 gallons for 6 hours work so more then a gallon per real hour. I will be mowing again today for several hours and will do the math again for kicks.

Roto,
There is a replacement steering bolt stop that was supposed to be used when installing the loader. The M12x40mm bolt is replaced with a M12x50mm in the rear of the front hub assembly. The length is adjusted with a jam nut, and is supposed to be set "at a height of 40mm, from the rear of the axle hub to the top of the bolt head". That will keep the tires from hitting the loader mounting brackets. You did say loader arms so maybe you have a different issue, but check those stops.

ya - as much as a tooth bar would be handy at times, I was wondering about that. You do pretty much have to tip down a bit w/o the toothbar to back drag.

Thanks for the info! i will check that out and that must be what it is. Its the loader mount bracket. Is this something that NH or the dealer should gIve me because i have to stop in there friday and can get the longer bolts if its a bulletin or warranty issue?

I typed that straight from my loader operator's manual I happen to have handy. Your dealer should have the bolts since they should have been installed new. Maybe it is a newer requirement. Hmmm, maybe you should check your current bolts. They might just need adjusting. I have a new loader on my case DX55, the loader is a LX360. My manual is new this year but most is a carryover from the previous manuals. It's a poor manual actually, with some areas missing due to "copy and paste" when they created it. They skipped a critical portion regarding lowering the bucket while removing the loader. I'd like to see an old copy to compare. My loader has a large pin that requires a "drive in" or "back out" motion instead of the "lift off" motion I see from others. How do you take your loader off?

I havent taken the loader off yet.

I will try to back the bolts out to see if there long enough but i looked today and they need to come out at least half inch to work.

i ran tractor today for 4.5 actual hours and was 6 hours on the tractor so the math is about right at 2300 rpms. i will fill it tomorrow to see what the fuel was.

Mike

I believe that you can only EDIT your post for X hours after the post.

About fuel consumption , Our 55 sips fuel, I never have Calculated fuel "Hourage" , but will, the next time it is operated for a long period of time.

Just at 100 hours, no complaints it has done everything we asked it to, I am amazed at the power it has, it will pull a 3 bottom 14" Ford 101 plow in med/heavy clay like it is a walk in the park, and that is with the plow running "Beam" deep, to break up the hard pan from all the years of plowing with a Ford 8n single bottom plow.

Roto,
Sounds like you have the original bolts. They were 40mm I think, and the replacements are 50mm. The 10mm difference is approximately half an inch so what you are saying would make sense. I'll bet the new bolts will be an easy fix for you.
