Hello,
I've been lurking here a little but this is my first post. I came across this forum when I was trying to figure out why my new New Holland TC40DA smoked excessively at high power. I thought that I would post the solution for anyone else who might google the same problem. Mine had very low hours and would intermittently smoke at high power. I'd open the hood to check it out and it would stop smoking. It took me a while (too long) to figure out that the weather stripping on the hood that curls around the radiator was hanging loose and would get sucked against the air cleaner inlet when I advanced the throttle.
