TC40D sighting

Hi all, I'm a new member who's been lurking and learning for about a year. I am yet to actually _own_ a tractor, but while closing in on a 30+ hp diesel with an FEL, ( TC 33D)
I stumbled on a larger tractor that has caught my eye. I'm going to take a look at it on Friday

The asking price is 17K for a TC40D w/ 700 hrs, a FEL, supersteer, R4 tires and a hydro trans. As I had sought out the elusive used TC 33D w/ the same specs for several weeks, I was pleasantly surprised to find this larger tractor for what I seem to think is a pretty attractive price. Checking the specs, I was impressed with the increased hydraulic capacity and 3pt load capacity. Any TC40 owners wanna weigh in on the 'perceived' value here?

The tractor originally sold for around $22,000. $5,000 off for only 700 hours seems pretty good to me.

Just one piece of advice: Open up the hood and look at the battery area. If it's corroded and you decide you want that tractor, demand the corroded parts be replaced before you take delivery.

I was looking at a TC40D also, that's not a bad price for what you're getting. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif( I bought a JD, because I ended up getting it for less than the NH) It's a good tractor.
