Tc40 a fluid leak

The shaft for the 4 wheel drive is leaking fluid at the rear of the tractor. The shaft is loose and I can slow down the leak by pushing the shaft back and or rotating it. I am wondering if there is a seal that I can replace. I am trying to find a diagram with part numbers so I can repair this issue.

You can govto Messicks, TC40, Transmission section, 4wd dropbox, pictured here. New Holland TC40 - 4 CYL COMPACT TRACTOR(01/98 - 12/05) Parts Diagrams

If you can wiggle the shaft, you have a bearing going out. Drain the oil, disconnect the 4wd driveshaft and drop the dropbox.

I have really slowed leakage to manageable on my tc40 by simply taking a pick and carefully cleaning the crud out of the seal.

I believe what your talking about is the rear of the front driveshaft? Check the exploded view for what parts and seals you may need and what's available before you dive head first into it.
