Re: TC33D Trade Value-Varies Regional Widely!
Eric,
There is no correct answer/pricing to your question...
I'll ask you, what do you think a new TC40D is worth {what are you willing to pay for a fair price?} and what do you think your current TC33D is worth?
Human nature being what it is--- will dictate, you want to pay the
least for the new unit... and you want to get the
most for you're current equipment... Now the dealer will think the
exact opposite!... /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif
Here's some shoe-in figures:{without attachments/loaders/etc.}
NH TC33D, Mfr. List $14,630, Avg. Lot Price $12,000
NH TC40D, Mfr. List $20,320, Avg. Lot Price $16,660
For example, you bought the 33... took it home, used it for 4 weekends, decided to trade-up for whatever reason... from the above you have an immediate $4,660 difference you will pay +++
You will take a "hit" on the loader of $500-1000...+++ another $1300-2200. more for the loader/different loader used on the 40
The dealer may also want to make another $500-1000 off your tractor trade-in... So add all those figures together to see what you will pay for a difference to step-up.../w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif
The bottom line, try to market your tractor privately for maximum dollars... cash always works better than a trade-in for the best deal...
Good luck Eric.
