My TC30 sprung a power steering fluid leak from one of the metal pipes circled in the pic. (It got crimped by one of the arms holding the body cover).

Can I cut out the broken section and replace it with a piece of hose? Or do I need to replace the whole pipe? How should I go about this?

The 2 lines at the front are lines from the steering valve to the steering cylinder. The line slightly behind heading down at a 45 degree angle is the line from the pump to the steering valve. These 3 lines are all high pressure lines so any hose repair would need to be capable of handling the system pressure. I would first look for a used line from one of the used part sources. I suspect the tubing is metric, but you might try a hydraulic shop to see if repair fittings are available.

Follow the line..if it goes to the cylinder and has crimped on fittings to hose its high pressure. If it has hose clamps or goes to the resivor then its low pressure.
