TC29D Hydraulic Filter?

I ordered a NH 84475483 hydraulic filter from Messicks for my 2001 TC29D. This is supposed to be the replacement for the original number 87300043. Today it arrived and although it looks like the same exterior size, both the box and the filter itself are labeled "Fuel Filter". I tried to call Messicks but they are already closed for the weekend.

Has anyone else seen this? Does this make any sense? Seems like they wouldn't be dual use on different applications.

Again mine looks the same on the outside, and is marked with the correct part number, but is labeled fuel filter instead of hydraulic filter. I'm really confused.

IMO, the filter is the correct one, but it's incorrectly labeled.

Look at the country of origin for your answer. The filter is correct, labeling is wrong. Pretty sad, isn't it?

Yes, I was disappointed by that. The filter is also clearly marked Made in China.

I talked to Messick's this week and they were of course surprised by what I had. They confirmed the part number was correct for the hydraulic filter and assured it me it was OK to use. The technician said he would check the rest of their stock for the mis-marking.

My stock of that filter is marked correctly and made in Mexico.
